WIWW - I love a good collar

As you read this, I should have the packing out of my ear. So freaking excited! I have an 8 am appointment...going to work after this was not my best idea. Let's hope I make it.

Today's WIWW involves a couple of fabulous collars.

Top: Rachel Roy via Macy's (on sale)
Tank: Forever 21
Pants: New York and Co.
Shoes: Christian Siriano for Payless
Watch: Michael Kors
Rings: Forever 21 and Kay Jewelers

As I said in this post, I am obsessed with the Rachel Roy collar! The color of the top is pretty great too!

Coat: Bar III via Macy's (on sale)
Scarf: gift
Boots: Bandolino
Pants: New York and Co.

I'm hoping this is one of the last times you will see a picture of me with cotton in my ear. I will have a few more days of ear drops but not nearly as bad as what I'm dealing with right now. I said that I would probably take the fur off of the coat. I felt like I was eating it. It's just too big for my little neck. But, the collar is still large and makes a statement so I'm happy! I love the flare of the bottom of the coat. It's super warm but incredibly soft. It's officially my new favorite coat...and I have a lot of coats!

My mirror sucks. The spots are kind of permanent at this point. I looked at some new options over the weekend and I have a couple picked out. It's becoming more and more essential.

Alright Ladies, I'm linking up with The Pleated Poppy again today. Check out some of the other ladies if you get a chance. Have a great Wednesday!!

Sephora and Target...two of my FAVORITES

This is the last of my weekend purchases. I'm really excited about one of the items!

I found this three pack of notebooks. They are little and so cute. I love the quotes on the front. I want to start documenting my meals and workouts again. The size is perfect to toss in my purse because it isn't heavy and we all know that my handbag weighs far more than it should.

I'm looking forward to doing my nails with these amazing new polishes. I have been wanting black for a while. I can't believe it wasn't already in my large collection! Target has a pretty good selection of Essie polishes

After much debate and talking with the lovely Amanda at Sephora, I decided upon the Mia. I couldn't decide if the second speed was worth the extra money. Amanda helped me with her honest opinion of the product and the fact that she owns one herself. That really sold me. Having a first hand account is really important to me. I've been using it for a couple of days. I'm going to give it a couple of weeks before I review it but I have to say so far I'm in love!! Waiting 24 hours to use it was torture. I think the magnetic charger is one of my favorite features.

It came with a sample gel cleanser. I haven't used it yet. I have been using the product that Amanda recommended. She uses it and she is prone to breakouts which has happened to me on occasion and lately I have had a few so I thought it was a good time to try the bareMinerals Purifying Facial Cleanser. Again, so far I like it but I'll give it a full review in a couple of weeks. It isn't overly drying which is something I was concerned about. I'm going to test out the Clarisonic cleanser soon.

Happy Tuesday Dolls! I left my house at 6:30 this morning for an early morning eye appointment but I picked out new glasses today, so I guess it's worth it.

I went shopping alone

I went shopping alone on Saturday. People were busy, I needed to get some things done. So, I hit up Target and the Mall. I was texting my sister and Jenn the entire time. Jenn was shopping with her mom and we would have been better off going together! Today's post will be the clothes and jewelry I purchased. Yes, it had to broken up into to posts. I didn't want to overload you.

First up, Macy's.

My biggest deal of the day! This Bar III coat was originally $160 and I ended up paying $44 for it. I'm pretty excited. The fur collar is removable. I will probably take it off because it is a little too big for me.

This skirt is by Kensie. It was originally $68 and I paid $12. The waist is leather and I love the exposed zipper.

I fell in love with this top by Rachel Roy. It's a medium and I would normally go smaller but the fit of it is actually quite cute so I decided to get it. I couldn't resist the collar. The top was originally $89 and I paid $25.

I love the hounds tooth print of this skirt. It was originally $48 and I got it for $13.

The sales woman at Macy's was so excited about my deals. That makes two of us! In total I spent $101. Absolutely insane!!

I couldn't resist this elastic waist Target skirt. It has pockets and is incredibly comfortable. Perfect for all of the layering I do!

A close up of the streaks going through this aqua colored shirt.

The color is a little off but I couldn't get it right. It is more of a chartruese.

This one is more a coral color. They were on sale for $7 so I picked up a few of them!

Lastly, I picked up some new rings at Forever 21 and I couldn't resist this delicate little bracelet and statement necklace. I love stacking multiple rings lately so I tend to wear out the F21 ones pretty quickly. I expect it though, you pay for quality and these are $3. :)

I hope you all had a great weekend!! I'll be back tomorrow with the some beauty purchases.

Friday Letters

Dear Ice Storm: Thank you for giving me a 2 hour delay today. I needed the extra sleep!

Dear Ear Packing: You come out on Wednesday at 8 am. This cannot happen soon enough. I kind of hate you and the ear drops you require. 10 drops twice a day...no thanks.

Dear Braxton: Why do you love your Uncle Ty more than me? I'm serious, this needs to stop.

You don't snuggle like that with me anymore and it makes me sad. Why do you want to make your mother sad?

Dear Cincinnati Reds: Baseball returns today at 3 pm. Joey Votto is in the Final Four for MLB Network's Face of the MLB race. These two things make me incredibly happy.

Dear Twitter Followers: This goes hand in hand with the above thought. I apologize for my incessant #JoeyVotto tweets and retweets. But, we want nothing more than to see our boy as the face of the MLB. We beat a Yankee and we're on way to beating a Pirate. If my followers want to put one #JoeyVotto in their tweets today, I would love you...more than I do already. I will also most likely retweet it because every tweet counts! I believe the finals should be tomorrow. So, after that we will be back to regular programing. :)

Happy Friday Dolls! I hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Boscia Luminizing Black Mask

I picked up this great sample set at Sephora during the holidays.

I have used the Purifying Cleansing Gel face wash and Oil-free Nightly Hydration on several occasions and I have become a fan. The face wash is incredibly mild and the moisturizer is wonderful. It has a creamy gel consistency.

Last week, I finally tried the mask. My skin has been "off" since my surgery. Laying in bed for days and not necessarily doing my twice a day cleaning took its toll. I have to tell you I could have scared small children. The mask is definitely black! After applying a somewhat thick layer, you let it sit for 20 minutes and then peel it off. I didn't apply it quite thick enough the first time because peeling it off was not easy. I used the mask a second time this week and it was much easier. My skin feels great! If you're looking for a new mask I would suggest checking this out. I'm not sure if Sephora is still selling this sample set but for $10 it's a great way to try the products! You can find all of the Boscia products sold at Sephora here.

I've read a few reviews of the GLAMGLOW masks. I'm going to try to get a sample of them during my next Sephora run. I would definitely like to try it before buying a full size because it's a bit pricey. I will review it and then decide which full size bottle I'll buy.

If you have tried any of these or know of another mask I should try, I would love to hear about it.

Have a great Thursday Dolls!

WIWW - More scarves...I think I need an intervention

Happy Wednesday lovely ladies! I am back again with a couple of outfits for you.

Shirt: J Crew Factory
Scarf: Target
Pants: New York and Co.
Boots: Born
Bracelets: Handmade
Watch: Michael Kors

I'm borderline obsessed with these boots. They are beyond comfortable and I could easily wear them every day. They were $150 at Macy's but they had BOGO on Cyber Monday. Which means I got a great deal. If you're considering buying a pair of Born's, I highly recommend them!

I see my little man creeping in the background!

Shirt: American Eagle
Tank: Forever 21
Scarf: Walmart
Pants: New York and Co.
Boots: Gianni Bini

I found this scarf last week. I was browsing the workout clothes at Walmart because their sports bras are totally rocking my world lately. I cut down an aisle and saw this gem hanging there. It was $5! I snatched it so fast. It's super thin and soft, great for layering. More times than not I'm not impressed with Walmart's scarves but the quality of this one is pretty nice.

Oh and I finally did my hair. It was Jenn's birthday so I figured I should actually do something with myself!

I'm linking up with The Pleated Poppy again today, so go check all of the ladies out!

New Fav Lip Color

I have read about Maybelline's Color Whispers on several blogs over the past week or so. I had to run into Walgreen's for a gift bag last Friday and I decided to check it out. Well, I'm officially obsessed.

After much debate, I went with Pink Possibilities.

Here is a sample of the color on my gross hand but you get the point!

I'm wearing it in this picture from Jenn's birthday on Friday.

This is a stock photo from Maybelline's site.

The lip color goes on like a lip balm but looks kind of like a gloss. It's shiny but not overly glossy. You can apply it without a mirror because it goes on so smoothly. I'm kind of addicted to it. I probably applied it 20 times Friday night. It keeps my lips moisturized which I need during these cold months! I think I want to try a few more. Target has it for $5.94 so run out and pick some up for yourself!!

Speaking of Target...my Prabal Gurung tank is horrible. It comes down to my knees...not exaggerating so I need to return it. However the shoes are AMAZING!!

Lastly, I leave you with this...

...because you haven't seen him in a while and he is just too cute for words. 5 seconds later he was eating the bag and tissue paper for Jenn's birthday gift.

Have a great Tuesday!!

My Bestie (aka Jenn) is celebrating her second 29th birthday on Saturday. Yes, she is the big 3-0. Don't worry, I'm right behind you! :) So this post is to wish her the happiest of birthdays. We will be celebrating this evening and starting the afternoon off right with mani/pedis. Sounds just about perfect to me!

Here are a few (or 9) pictures of us that I snagged from FB. I mean I could go way back if I wanted to but I kept it semi recent. We've basically known each other our entire lives so I'm sure there are some scary pictures in the vault somewhere!

You'll see our hair has changed over the years...
