Weekend Projects

I had big plans to DIY things this weekend. Well the weather did not cooperate. There were monsoon style rains on Saturday which made spray painting vases impossible! It's going to be incredibly nice this week so hopefully I will have a chance to finish the project I started.

Making my own milk glass vases. (Excuse the iPhone photos...I promise to take real ones before I complete the entire thing.) I have my cute $.79 vases from Ikea but they can't hold a lot of flowers so I thought I would attempt this with a $1.50 vase from Walmart. If it sucks, no biggie.

With my $.99 puff paint and vase in hand I started adding dots. This is the second attempt. The first one was left to dry and then I picked all of the little dots off because they weren't straight or even and I couldn't handle it. I took a different approach the second time. Let's have the dots curve around the vase! It worked much better!

A close up of my handy work! I bought the spray paint but of course forgot to take a picture of it. So, that will be included when I finish the project. I chose a semi-gloss because I want them to have a little bit of shine but not too much. I have to say I was tempted by the magnetic, white board and chalk board paint. I just need to see how they work!

Here is a picture of the White Hot by Sephora nail polish that I mentioned here. I gotta say, I really like it!! I might put some sparkle over it or a cute colored tip before it starts to chip. I like experimenting with my polish after I've been wearing it for a few days. If it turns out horribly then I can just take it off and it doesn't really matter.

Lastly, my mom hooked me up with this adorable mint colored cardigan from Gap. She was on her annual 4 day shopping trip with her girlfriends and she knows my love for anything mint. So, when I got a text that this little guy was only $20 at the outlet, I told her to pick it up for me. I'm wearing it today in what I consider an incredibly spring like outfit that you will almost certainly be seeing at some point this week!

I saw The Lucky One with Jenn yesterday. We really liked it. Of course there were tears. It didn't totally follow the book but it was close. I want tell you the differences, no need to spoil it for others! We smuggled our Sbux in and it was delightful. What I didn't enjoy was the obscene man burping throughout the movie. He didn't even try to hide it. Gross!

Happy Monday Ladies! I hope you all have a great week!

Friday Favorites

I'm going to see The Lucky One with the bestie on Sunday. So freaking excited!

Well hello Mr. Efron! You are looking mighty grown up these days. No longer the young boy from HSM. I used to babysit a 6 year old. I've seen HSM on more than one occasion! I started the book last Friday while I was sitting in silence proctoring and I managed to finish it on Sunday. So, yeah it was a decent book! Let's hope the movie follows the book somewhat closely.
Next up, I bought this body wash and I am obsessed! For real...it's great! The smell is AMAZING and totally reminds me of summer time. Which is probably why I love it so much. Plus, it's cheap.

I enjoy St. Ives products. I've used several different face washes so I was happy to try this and I'm currently on my second bottle of it. I rarely buy the same body wash two times in a row. I like to change it up but this was just too good!

Also, thought I would share that my face has decided to break out again. Let's hope we aren't reverting back to that again. I don't think my sanity can take it! Time to get super serious about my skin care regimen again. Yuck! My battle for clearer skin really is an ongoing battle.

Alright Ladies, I hope you all have a great weekend!

P.S. because I'm a crazy cat lady, I want to let you all know that little man is officially 6 months old as of yesterday. :( What happened to my fluffy haired baby??

Get in Gear

My post is late this morning. One, I didn't know what to post about last night. Two, I still didn't know what to write about this morning. I could tell you about the new white nail polish I got yesterday. White Hot - Sephora by OPI. That's like 2 sentences. A really exciting post, don't ya think?! Or maybe you want to hear about my awesome lunch at McCormick and Schmicks, where I devoured salmon stuffed with crab, shrimp and brie. (Not kidding, quite possibly one of the best meals I've ever had.) Again, we're only at a paragraph. Boring. So, I read some posts this morning and this is what I've come up with.

Veronika over at Veronika's Blushing is starting a 30 day workout challenge for herself. The month of May is when she plans to kick her butt into gear and jump back on the workout train. This is exactly what I need. I need to hold myself accountable. (This is day 2 with no cotton in my ear so I think I'm ready. I know you'll miss my fashion statement.) I've jumped on her bandwagon. It's going to hurt. I'm going to get pissed mainly because it's going to hurt. But, I'm committed. Thursday will be my workout update day. If I skip it, I need you to yell at me! Hold me accountable Ladies!!

I have so many fitness inspiration pictures and workouts on Pinterest. It's time I use them! I leave you with this.

I'm definitely getting my butt into gear!! Have a great Thursday Ladies!

Animal Print

I wore one of my favorite dresses yesterday. The print is kind of memorable so I can't wear it too often but I absolutely love it!

Dress: Banana Republic
Cardigan: New York and Co.
Belt: Forever 21
Tights: Hue
Booties: Reaction by Kenneth Cole
Watch: Anne Klein
Bracelets: Handmade

Ignore my wrinkles. It was a long day of sitting in my chair! The belt is purple if you couldn't tell in the pictures because let's face it the quality blows.  My battery was dying so I was rushing.

Yesterday was my last day of ear drops! I seriously wanted to jump for joy this morning. Now, let's hope I don't get any ear infections. My hair and my flat iron were reunited this morning. Oh how I've missed that fuchsia Chi! My hair seems so long now!! I'm just happy to be getting back to myself...finally.

Also, Glee did not disappoint last night. I'm probably going to need to download every Whitney song. They were all great! My co-workers and I are going out to lunch today for Administrative Professionals Day. McCormick and Schmicks...I cannot wait to dig into some of your delicious seafood. Happy Wednesday!

Babies, Goodbyes and a Random Thought

As most of you know by now, Giuliana and Bill Rancic announced they are having a baby yesterday. I could not think of a more deserving couple.

That is going to be one good looking baby! I'm sure her E! family is thrilled, I mean they chronicled their road to a baby. I wish them nothing but the best! She said, "if you stay positive, God will give you good things". They are proof of that...congrats G and Bill!

Each Tuesday, we get one step closer to saying goodbye to the Seniors at McKinley High. Tonight is no different. The cast of Glee is using Whitney Houston as it's back drop. Kristen Dos Santos broke it down on E! Online yesterday and I have to say I'm so freaking excited!

I could listen to Glee soundtracks all day. I have the one that includes Poker Face and Bad Romance. Of course! My love for Gaga has no bounds. Do you love Glee as much as I do? If so, do you have a favorite New Directions number? I don't think I could pick just one. It seems like every episode there is at least one song that I need to download. One of my favorites was our introduction to Blaine and his rendition of Katy Perry's Teenage Dream. I know this isn't a New Direction's number but I love The Warblers!

One last random thought, my sister pinned a list of 10 books that every girl should read her in 20's. The books included in the list aren't the point. The comments at the bottom of the list are where I'm going with this. People went on a rant about how the choices make it seem like all women in their 20's lack self-confidence, need a relationship and like to shop. I guarantee if you googled for similar lists you would find an abundance of them. I find it so funny that people get so uptight about a list that a couple of people concocted. If you hate the list so much, MAKE YOUR OWN. Post it online and let people complain about the fact that you didn't include Confessions of a Shopaholic in your list. It's not that serious folks. The inclusion of chick-lit and Jane Austen is not the end of the world. Just because a girl wants to read a little mindless chick-lit before she goes to bed does not mean she lacks intelligence. {END RANT}

Sorry for such a random post today. Have a great Tuesday Ladies!

Shopping via Instagram

Mom and I hit up Ikea on Friday after work. We actually made this trip a rather quick one which is fairly difficult to do. Especially, since it seemed that they had so many new things for us to oohhh and ahhh over! I get so excited to see their kitchens. The organization is amazing and I dream of having a kitchen like that some day!

On to the purchases. All of which are for the Bridal Shower and some of them will then be used at the wedding as well. I plan to DIY a few things.

Lanterns! Trying to decide which size which resulted in me running to the front of the store so I could get cell phone reception and then calling my sister. Thankfully, we weren't too far from the checkout! I think the cotton in my ear might be my new signature look. Thoughts?!?! :) (By the way, the small lantern is $3.99 and the large is $7.99)

I'm pretty much obsessed with these adorable pots. If I can't find anything else for them, I figure I could put silverware in them at the shower. But, Sister loves them too so I have a feeling we'll be finding a way to use them at the wedding. They're a creamy white color and they were $2.99

The galvanized pots were $.99. They're a bit too shiny for my liking. So I plan to rough them up a bit and I might white wash them. I saw something on Pinterest that was similar but I was not about to spend that kind of money on a pot!

These adorable little vases were only $.79! I envisioned using milk glass vases at the shower for part of the centerpieces but of course that's expensive. These little dudes will get DIY'ed as well. The little bumps on the sides will give them a little something extra!

We decided on the larger lanterns. I love them! They also come in black. I think these are going to be centerpieces on at least some of the tables at the wedding. You can also buy them not constructed and they come in flat boxes. But, I wasn't about to spend my time putting lanterns together. No thanks! They're the same price either way. The boxes are probably easier to transport though.

Finally, a sneak peek at the bridal shower invitation. I'm going to be printing them today and they will be in the mail soon. So, be on the look out ladies!

I hope everyone had a great weekend! I have a break from students this week which means I can finally get caught up on all of the things I never have time for!

Ok, ladies...I can hear and it's weird. Everything seems incredibly loud. The suction was pretty much what I expected. Loud. Uncomfortable. Kind of hurt when he was near my ear drum. Everything looks great. One more week of a new kind of ear drops. Then, a follow-up in 6 weeks. It's really weird being able to hear again. I can't tell how much my hearing has improved because I can't seem to remember what it was like prior to the surgery. All I can compare it to is the past month of not hearing anything. I still hear a bit of an echo but the graft hasn't totally healed yet so I'm sure that will go away with time.

On to the fun stuff! My OOTD from yesterday. Which featured this new skirt! LOVE it. I took my nude tights off around lunch time. It got warm and I couldn't deal. Had I known this would happen, I would have worn heels. The booties definitely made my feet hot.

Ladies, I need your help. I have spent the past month eating like crap and laying around. I have done very minimal physical activity and now all of my clothes are tight. My equilibrium is still a bit off so most of the physical activities I would like to do I just don't feel ready for yet (i.e. yoga, running, ab work, anything that requires bending over). I could use any suggestions you have. I've been eating anything that was quick and easy which has resulted in a lot of take out/fast food and I HATE that. So, I've been eating salads for lunch all week and it's crazy but I'm already feeling a little better. I could use any of the help I can get! I have to be the Maid of Honor in a wedding in 5 months. Gotta get serious!

I'll be back next Friday with some new favorites for you! Have a great weekend! I have a date with my Kindle all day today while I proctor. I have to finish The Lucky One before Jenn and I see the movie next weekend.

At 4:00 pm today I FINALLY get the packing out of my ear. This has been the longest month of my life. I honestly cannot believe my surgery was only a month ago because the process has been so long and grueling. I am so looking forward to being able to hear normally again. No More Cotton In My Ear! I'm kind of nervous that I will have some equilibrium issues because I have been this way for so long. The packing is going to be suctioned out. SUCTION. Seriously?! That sounds awful, right?? I have been preparing myself for the absolute worst. I have a feeling my hour drive home will be a bit unpleasant. I still have some pain medication so if I'm hurting I can take that and go to bed. I have no idea if there will be more drops in my future or not. I really don't know. The only thing I am aware of is the fact that I can't fly for 3 months after the surgery. So, we'll see what comes next!

I attempted to take a few quick iPhone pics of my outfit this morning but the lighting was horrible and you couldn't really see anything. I'll post some camera pics tomorrow. I bought this last week and I'm so happy I did.

J Crew was having a great sale. If you remember, I posted about another No. 2 Pencil skirt here. Well this one is very similar and it was on sale. SCORE! It fits perfectly and I'm now officially obsessed with the No. 2 Pencil skirt. I need more! I steamed it last night and it was so easy. Another plus in my book! Do any of you have the No. 2 Pencil skirt from J Crew? What color(s) do you have?? I think I need it in the Natural color. I have to say, I have tights on with it right now because it was chilly this morning but I have a feeling they're going to come off before my meeting this afternoon. My legs are already warm. They are nude Hue tights so it's not like they are adding anything to the outfit!

Have a great Thursday Ladies!!

Just A Small Town Girl Blog celebrated it's one year anniversary a month ago and I totally forgot. Is that bad? The day I posted this, I should have been posting about the old bloggy turning 1. In my defense, I was really excited about a trip to Cleveland, St. Patty's Day and my Bobcats making it to the Big Dance! Not to mention there was a surgery on the horizon. I had intended to do some kind of giveaway for this momentous occasion but of course, that was a month ago and I haven't planned anything. So, in the next couple of weeks I'm going to get something together. It will probably involve some of my favorite products.

And because I need some kind of photo in this post. I'm going to share the cutest thing you will ever see.

I pinned him on Pinterest. He can be found here. He is a full grown Golden Cocker Retriever. So basically they stay puppies forever. I cannot imagine a cuter thing. Seriously! Golden Retriever and Lab puppies are probably my favorites. They are so stinking cute. The thought of having one stay that little forever just makes my heart melt! I will have one of these some day. For now, I'll stick with Braxton. Who is on my list today after not sleeping all night and nearly killing himself by getting stuck between the mattress and the foot board of my bed. I'm pretty sure his whiskers are supposed to tell him he can't fit there. What a lovely 2:30 am wake up call! But, he's cute and impossible to stay mad at.

Have a great Wednesday Ladies!

It's been a while. It's not the best OOTD but it's better than nothing. My hair is still in a ponytail. Ear drops twice a day means I'd rather keep my hair away from that!

Cardigan: Gap
Top: Banana Republic
Capris: New York and Co.
Shoes: Shoedazzle
Watch: Anne Klein
Nail Polish: China Glaze
Headband: H&M

I take these pictures all the time and my room looks like a cluttered mess. Allow me to explain. The cardboard box is Braxton's favorite place to play/cuddle. It also holds several toys. He flips around in there throwing his toys around. I got my new Uggs and had intended to keep the box so I could put my boots away in the Spring/Summer. Well, little man took over the box and it will never hold my boots again! I also keep food and water in my room with a baby gate up during the day because fat girl Chloe tries to eat his food all the time and the last thing she needs is kitten chow!

Happy Tuesday Dolls!

Neon and Shopping for Others

My weekend involved a lot of shopping. But, none of which was for me. My mom and I set out Friday after work to check off a few of the stores we needed to hit on our list. However, all of which were a total bust. Hobby Lobby was having a sale on the departments that we needed for the Bridal Shower/Wedding. However, they had NOTHING. Seriously! It was all hideous. I would rather DIY everything. My cousin's twin girls are going to be the flower girls. We're not trying to spend a fortune on their dresses because that's just insane. They want to be princesses like Sophia Grace and Rosie so we're in the market for some fluffy dresses with a little sparkle. With Easter just ending we thought we might get lucky and find some dresses on sale. No luck on Friday but Saturday we hit the mother load at JcPenney and with their new everyday low price thing, they were CHEAP. We think we have it narrowed down. I cannot wait to show you pictures of them!

It was definitely Friday the 13th. We felt like we were in the twilight zone everywhere we went. Walmart had moved half of their stuff and the majority of the shelves only had the Great Value brand on them. I just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. There was no Diet Coke. We finally found a few 1.25 liter bottles. What is that??

Saturday, we drove thru/ran thru monsoon style rains. It was a treat! But, I think I have all of the essentials for the shower or at least know where to get the things I need. Making progress folks! This weekend is Ikea! I plan to check out these little guys....

I can't wait to get the fun stuff for the shower! Table cloths, plates, bowls, etc aren't that exciting!

Finally, I haven't done my nails in so long. So, here is my first neon manicure of the season. It's by China Glaze and I posted about it here. I had every intention to check out the at home gel manicure materials at Ulta but with the rain and my patience dwindling, I didn't want to go to another store. I'll keep you posted!

This is going to be a crazy busy week but I like it that way. Tuesday and Friday are exam days which means I get to spend some quality time with my Kindle! Happy Monday Ladies!

Friday Favorites

I feel like I haven't done a Friday Favorites post in so long! I'm glad to be back with a couple of products that I'm loving right now.

As most of you know, I've been growing my hair out for what seems like an eternity. I haven't flat ironed it in weeks so I'm sure the first time I do, I'll be shocked at the length of it. Before this never ending process began, I was cutting my hair every 3-6 weeks. Now that I'm not, I have been suffering from breakage and split ends. Enter this shampoo...

TRESemme's Anti-Breakage Shampoo.  I have been using this product for a couple of months. Granted I only wash my hair every 2-3 days but I really like it. I think my hair feels stronger. I'm in desperate need of a trim. So, I'm anxious to see how it does after I get all of the bad ends out of there. I saw they have a split remedy line now as well. I might looking into that next time. I flat iron my hair nearly every day. Which results in quite a bit of breakage. I can't wait to see how this works out in the long run. My hair is incredibly coarse, frizzy, nappy and curly. I get really excited when I find products that make it more manageable. I'm so envious of the girls that can get up and go with their hair. The only way that's going to happen for this girl, is if it's in a ponytail!

I tried these delicious Fiber One brownies this week. OMG. So unbelievably delicious. I'm kind of obsessed with them. They are soft and chewy. The perfect size. I plan to buy a box this weekend to keep in my office. Next time I need a chocolate/sweets fix this is where I'm going. It's better than a candy bar, right?!

My mom and I are shopping for the Bridal Shower this weekend. I'm sure I'll have a lot to report on Monday. Have a great weekend Ladies!

Gel Manicure

I have yet to get a gel manicure. But, I know a lot of people that have. I like to change my nail polish often so I've wondered if I would get sick of having the same color for an extended period of time. I saw this on Pinterest yesterday.

An at home gel manicure! The photo links back to the site. She says that you put a thin layer of the 5 minute gel polish on then a coat of the Essie 3-way glaze then your polish color followed by another coat of the 3-way glaze. It still takes quite a bit to get the gel off but I'm tempted to try it.

Have any of you attempted an at home gel manicure? I'm really intrigued. I read through some of the comments on Kate's blog and you can find the 5 Minute Gel Polish at Ulta. (The gel polish actually part of a gel manicure set but Kate was not impressed with their process so she tried her own variation of it.) Ulta also carries Essie products so I'm sure you can find the 3-way glaze there as well. My mom and I are doing some Bridal Shower shopping this weekend. I think I might need to make a pit stop to pick up the supplies. One of Kate's initial concerns was that the gel wouldn't come off very easily. But, if you use acetone remover and let your nails soak for a bit, you shouldn't have a problem.

If any of you try this, I would love to hear how it turns out! I'll be sure to share when I attempt it. Happy Thursday Dolls!

I would love to try to cross some of these off in the next few years. I really want to take a trip to Cali. I would like to go to SF, LA, San Diego and Napa...to name a few. Maybe a girl trip would be a great way to cross at least one of those off!

How many of these have you visited and which ones would you like to visit? Happy Wednesday Ladies! This week is going by rather quickly and I like it!

A case of the blahs!

I started to write this post and it became a total Debbie Downer. So, I deleted it. I'm just blah. My energy level is still incredibly low so therefore I don't have the energy to get ready in the morning and I've been wearing my hair in a ponytail for 3 weeks. This is so unlike me and I need to turn it around...ASAP. I've decided that surgeons don't fully prepare you for what you will endure post-op.

Instead of bringing you all down with my post-op frustrations, I'll just leave it at that and leave you with a picture of this handsome little devil! I mean seriously, how can that face not make you smile! He was extra cuddly this morning which makes leaving for work incredibly difficult.

That's all I have for you on this busy Tuesday. I hope you all have a great day!! My hair might be in a ponytail but I did my make-up and I'm wearing a cute outfit so you just might get an OOTD tomorrow.

Etsy is addicting

First of all, I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! My sister, her fiance and their dog were in town so we spent the weekend hanging out and attending my cousin's bridal shower. Which was fantastic! The food was great and Jess did a great job on the dessert/candy bar! I'm still eating cake balls...yum!

I was MIA on Friday because my boss sent me home on Thursday. I'm thinking my allergies caused a sinus infection. My sinuses were incredibly swollen and there was some pressure on my ear, which basically CANNOT happen. So, I had to go to the doctor and I'm on antibiotics and a decongestant. But, I can't blow my nose so it makes the entire situation really enjoyable! Anyway, the doctor recommended I spend Friday in bed. I didn't fight him on that. But, I'm back!!

About a week ago Anna at Fash Boulevard posted about this great Etsy store Derng. I'm pretty much obsessed with everything in the store. I could buy it all!

I pinned this last week and it is now sold out on the site. As is the necklace Anna wore in her post. I'm hoping they will be back up soon because I REALLY want these bracelets!

I'm also dying for this necklace! How great is it? There are so many chains in various lengths. I think I need a few. The prices are great and I'm looking forward to making some purchases!

I seriously spent so much time on Etsy yesterday. I could browse for hours. It's a problem! But, I have several ideas for my sister's shower invitations! I'm hoping for a better week this week. This academic year is flying by and my busy season is right around the corner. I can't believe that my first full class of medical students will be graduating next month!

Have a great Monday and an even better week!

I love a good deal!

I was in Target last night. The store I typically go to is being turned into one of the superstores with a grocery department as well. So, there were some incredible deals! I think they are trying to get rid of some things. Of course I hit up the shoe department. I actually have my eye on a pair of purple heels. I have a feeling I will be getting them because they were so comfy and such a vibrant color. I need them in my closet!

There is a similar pair in pink too. I might need both. They're only $30 so I'm ok with it!

I did buy these adorable shoes though! Clearance rack...only $9.00!!!! That makes me excited! They're a burgundy, purple, brown color. I'm happy with my great deal!

I wish I would have had more time to browse but I was on a mission and I had to get home so I could be settled in at 8 pm to watch the finale of One Tree Hill.

I need to share my jealousy with my ladies. My bestie Jenn is in NYC with her students for their Senior class trip. Well, during the NBC Studios tour they got to see Giuliana Rancic film for E! News. Some of the girls got a picture with her. Ugh! I love Giuliana. So Jealous!

Have a great Thursday Ladies! Oh and if you get a chance you should probably vote for one of my fav bloggers Anna at Fash Boulevard in the Lauren Conrad blogger contest. Click the link for all of the details!

One Tree Hill

Oh how I'll miss thee. Tonight is the Series Finale of OTH. This saddens me. Last week, after the episode ended I got teary eyed at the thought of this week being the last episode. Granted I was on pain medication at the time, but yeah I cried. For years I have anticipated the show not coming back. For the other fans out there, you remember when season 4 ended and no one knew if they would come back. I mean how were they going to handle the gang going off to college?! Well...it came back and they fast forwarded 4 years and then would fill us in on the past. From season 5 on, I have been expecting the show to end. Now it's here. It's weird, I feel like I know these people. (I did meet Sophia Bush, Chad Michael Murray and James Lafferty while on vacation in Wilmington, NC when they were filming season 2. I should find those pictures!)

One issue that I cannot get past and that I'm sure still will not be addressed tonight is where did Lucas, Peyton and Sawyer go. They just rode off into the sunset and were barely mentioned. All we needed was ONE LINE that said something like, Haley: "I talked to Lucas today, they are really loving {insert city here}". Did anyone else find it odd that the airport announced his flight # and gate but not his destination. COME ON OTH. That is not how it works. Seriously, Peyton would not have missed Brooke's wedding or the birth of her children. Not gonna happen. GRRR!

So tonight, I plan to snuggle into my bed to watch the 2 hour finale. I'll have tissues near by because I'm sure there will be tears. I know Mark Schwahn will be nice to us and he will wrap the show up in a nice little bow so we're all happy.

Any other One Tree Hill fans out there? If you're not a fan, you probably have no idea what I'm talking about and think I'm a crazy person. This show filled the void that Dawson's Creek left. What can I say, I'm a sucker for teenage dramas! If you want to check it out...the first 8 seasons are on Netflix Instant. I watched an entire season while I was in bed recovering. If anything else, there are some good looking people to stare at.

Happy Wednesday Dolls!!

J Crew...why do you do this to me?

I'm seriously obsessed with everything in the new J Crew catalog. This is nothing new. I have the same reaction every time I pull one of those catalogs out of the mailbox. I hit up the new arrivals tab on the website so I could show you some of my favorite things. This is honestly just a small portion of my wish list. If only I had one the Mega Million on Friday...

I have the white pants...just need the adorable top!

Even though it's getting warmer, I want this entire outfit.

Obsessed with stripes. Love them. I could wear them every day. This pink top needs to appear in my closet, ASAP!

I love the feminine qualities of this eyelet top. It's pretty fantastic.

Again, I need the entire outfit. The sweet polka dots with the vibrant pants are a great combination.

You know I'm on the constant hunt for great pastel pants. The zippers add a little something extra to this pair. Plus, I just love the spearmint color.

No. 2 Pencil Skirt. Why haven't I purchased one of these yet?! I just keep delaying the inevitable. I always think I want a staple color like black, white, khaki, etc. But, then I see this purple and know how much I love the color purple and I think this is the one I need to buy! AHH. Pencil skirts are one of my favorite things for work. Maybe, I'll bite the bullet this Spring.

Honestly, I could go on and on and on, but that would be annoying. So, go browse the new arrivals or flip thru the catalog for the 100th time like I have and dream about the new wardrobe you wish you could buy. I know I will be! Happy Tuesday!

I'm BACK...with ACM fashion

I'm watching the ACM's and I've already been scouring the internet for some of the fashion. And to update you, I'm gradually getting my energy level back. I attempted to clean my bathroom yesterday and thought I was going to die. Apparently, physical labor is still out of the question. I had a check up and everything looks great. I will have packing in my ear for about 3 more weeks. That's the most annoying part. I can't scratch it and it itches more than you could imagine. The itching means it's healing so that's a good thing but if I can get my normal hearing back soon, that would be great! I seriously hear an echo and everything is muffled. I rolled over the other night and my healing ear was up so I didn't hear my alarm go off. That's a problem folks! I'm going to have to crank the volume up to prevent that from happening again!

On to the fashion, unless otherwise noted the photo came from here.

Taylor Swift...I liked the straighter hair and bangs. This dress was young and fun and not her typical flowy girly number so I liked it! Source

Miss Carrie opened the show with style! If I were her, I would be showing off that leg too! She looks stunning. I need to see a close up of the dress but I think I like it. Source

Blake and Miranda are adorable. I was so happy for her when she won. I'm still not sure if I love the dress or not. I like the color and cut but the material has be thrown. It could just be the lighting. I might need to find another shot of it.

Dierks Bentley is a beautiful man. I've seen him in concert and he puts on one hell of a show. I included him for the eye candy factor because do we really care what he is wearing?! I didn't think so!

LOVE this dress Jennifer Nettles. The color, the cut, the adorable belt. I love it all.

Not sure why LL Cool J is at the ACM Awards but he's a good looking man so we'll let it slide.

Laura Bell Bundy...I'm sorry I do not like this. The sleeve is weird. The length of it is just odd to me. I don't hate the silver but the sleeve just ruins it for me.

Sara Evans, you are so much prettier than this dress. Not a good choice. I really like her too, so this makes me sad. I've seen her better. I think she could have rocked an awesome tailored pant suit and it would have been so much better than this.

I have no idea who Cherrill Green is. I need to google it. But, I LOVE her dress. I would totally wear this...ya know if I had a reason to wear a formal dress.

Well dolls, that's all I have for my first post back. I hope to get back into the swing of things this week. I have been trying to keep up with all of your blogs as well but I went days without even opening my laptop. So, it might take me a bit to get totally caught up. I hope you all have a great Monday!
